Have your air conditioning cleaned and serviced. Here’s why
Having your air conditioning cleaned and serviced can save you time and money, and it’s good for your health.
Having your air conditioning cleaned and serviced. Should you bother? Does it really need it? Well, yes you should, and yes, it does. If you’re in any doubt keep reading…
Your air conditioner will be more efficient.
Over time dust, dirt and other debris begin to clog up the filters inside the unit leading to reduced efficiency. This, in turn, increases the stress on your air conditioning unit as it has to work harder to do its job and at the same time, the lifespan of the unit will be significantly reduced. It’s also worth noting that a coating of dust covering our evaporator coils will cause the unit to lose its ability to absorb heat, reducing your air conditioning system’s effectiveness.
The pain of your electricity bill will be reduced.
A dirty and inefficient air conditioner can push up your electricity bill significantly, and as we’ve already mentioned, it causes stress leading to more frequent breakdowns and potentially – an even bigger bill for repairs or replacement. As we’re fully trained and qualified, when we do a service and clean, we’re more likely to notice any issues that could cause significant problems in the future and recommend a course of action saving your money and providing you with peace-of-mind. And if you get your system serviced during the winter, you will also avoid being without your air con during the hottest part of the year.
Improved air quality.
And now to the obvious. Cleaning and servicing will lead to less mould, fungi, bacteria and unwanted germs in your home or office. Left to fester for a long time, these unwanted microbes will begin circulating around your home or office increasing the incidence of respiratory illnesses and asthma as your air conditioning continuously pumps them back into the atmosphere, not to mention some very unpleasant smells!
So, to avoid downtime, lessen the chance of illness and bad smells and save some money, we recommend that your service and clean your air conditioning at least once every six months depending on the level of usage.
